My name is Michelle Lewis-Barnes.
I am an early childhood educator with over 20 years of experience in the field. I am a believer in the power of play! I'm very excited to open the doors at ChildSPACE and return to the work that is my biggest passion -- learning beside young children! With ChildSPACE, I've worked to create indoor and outdoor spaces that are dedicated to the magic of childhood.
I've owned and operated early childhood programs in the Portland area for many years (almost 20!). Most recently, I worked for the Department of Early Learning and Care as a licensing specialist (2019-2024). I hold a master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Champlain University, and a bachelor's degree from Portland State University. I am also a master trainer and early childhood consultant.
I look forward to sharing ChildSPACE with you and your child.
